According to him, he is bringing on board human capital development to create jobs for the people of the area, aside education, targeting agricultural development, when elected MP.
“I am not afraid. I fear no one, except God. I am only afraid of God and because God has given me the assurance of victory, I went down on my knees and asked Him and I know I have this victory. I am not afraid of anybody and I am not afraid of ET Mensah. There is nothing to be afraid of,” he stated.
Sam George made the remarks when he joined a massive crowd to embark on an early morning health walk through the Ningo-Prampram constituency last Saturday.
He mentioned that ET Mensah is only fighting for a pension farewell, explaining that “He’s done his bit and we are grateful to him. We thank him for what he has done but he’s reached the limit of his capacity; he’s done what he can do and it’s time for fresh blood.
“I mean you have a situation where a young man, Sam George, is saying ‘give me the opportunity to serve, I have fresh ideas;’ I am coming to transform our lives as a president is doing for the whole of Ghana and you have Hon. ET Mensah who is saying that ‘I am tired; I am going for my last term, give me my farewell term.’”
According to him, the people of Ningo-Prampram are yearning for proactive leadership to bring transformation to their lives rather than giving someone a pension farewell.
“We want change, we are lacking behind, we need infrastructure and we need human capital to be developed. We can’t sacrifice another four years for someone who says ‘this is my last term so allow me to go.’ No, parliament is serious business; parliament is not philanthropy. It’s for people who have the drive, zeal, that is what we are talking about,” Sam George noted.
He pledged a peaceful election on Saturday, November 21, promising to forge ahead unity with the current incumbent MP after the election in Ningo-Prampram.
Sam George further called on Mr ET Mensah to take up the challenge and also pledge unity when he is defeated in the primaries.
